Busy April!

Originally, I planned to update this site on a weekly basis but then reality hit. Even though I am now home 24/7, I still don't have much free time (but I am DEFINITELY not complaining) The weather here in Tulsa is still hard to get used to. We started the day of with 80 degree weather and beautiful sunny sky. Then the clouds started rolling in around noon. By 4:00 in the afternoon, the rain started pouring down...the rain went away for a bit to make way for all of the hail that came. After the hail finally went away, the sun came back strong and everyone was outside playing again. We had a big snow storm a week ago and the weather lately has been in the 40s and 50s (with the exception of today). However,Tulsa is now starting to slowly bloom with beautiful greens, purples, and yellows! I can't wait for the nice spring-like weather...sans tornadoes hopefully!

Angelina is excited she only has a month and a half left of school. This summer will be quite different for her. Instead of her having to go to daycare for most of the summer, she gets to stay home with mommy and Luke! She is very excited. We have been planning different trips to the zoo, bowling alley, aquarium, and museums, including the Titanic Museum in Branson, Missouri. But most of all, we are excited to use the pool in our backyard! We are opening it up Memorial Weekend. Angelina's new favorite thing to do is having sleep overs! In the past month, she has had four sleep overs with the girls on the street. They all get along so well. This year, for Angelina's birthday, she has requested a slumber party with the theme being Littlest Pet Shop. We are going to have so much fun :)

Luke is now 8 months old. Every day he practices his crawing skills and get a little bit better than the day before. He now can get across the room fairly quickly if he sees a toy that he wants. The dogs are starting to move out of his way when they see him coming. He is eating "big people" food now and loves it! He hasn't said his first word yet but we should hear it in a matter of days. He is very talkative, especially in the morning. He is having his baby dedication on Mother's Day, May 10th at our church here in Tulsa.

Yes, we did find a church we absolutely love! It didn't take long to find either. The kids really enjoy their Sunday classes/nursery and Andy and I really enjoy the pastor. The church is called Church at Battle Creek and focuses on involving the community via small groups and each month they do missionary work. They have missions locally as well as in Egypt, Mexico, Asia and South America.

Andy is turning 29 years YOUNG this upcoming Saturday, April 11th. He is going to have a great birthday weekend! On April 13th, we are having our 8 year anniversary! Can you believe it's already been 8 years?! I am happy to declare that the well known rumored "seven year itch" never touched our marriage and we both thank our Lord for that. God and communication are key (and in that order!) :D
